This toner cartridge when inserted into a Canon MF229dw printer produced faint gray lines where they should have been black. This problem persisted no matter how I fiddled with the settings. I read a lot in the manual and researched every option in the software, but always too little. So I bought a Canon branded cartridge, installed it and straight away the lines are dark and clear with all the default printer and software settings. You might be willing to put up with faded copies to save money but I'm not which is why I gave this product a low rating.
