I bought 4 of these walkie talkies to get around rough terrain. They work great and have many of the features that more expensive radios have. I used the CHIRP software to program all the radios with the same settings. Using CHIRP was a bit confusing at first, but there are great videos online that can help. The only problem I have with this is that one of the radios has different firmware than the others and I haven't found a way to update the firmware. This issue caused software problems when attempting to copy settings from three other radios. I had to create a completely new template in CHIRP for a radio. I would recommend if you are planning on buying more than one of these radios that you buy them all together so the firmware version is the same. I bought them separately.
