The deal was too good to be true. You get so many parts for a pretty good price. I bought these to replace an old set of PVC bags that were wearing out. These saddlebags are not heat resistant like my old PVC bags. They are made from thick vinyl or rubberized plastic which is great for wet weather but the exhaust side bag melted on my first ride! That's right, the whole bottom melted into my top tube and even ruined a pair of good rain pants! I tried putting aluminum insulation inside and out but it still melted. I have a 2009 V-Star 1100 Classic with stock tubes, my old PVC bags held up to the heat so they can't be real PVC. I cannot recommend these saddlebags!
