Works well with boiled water!

I use it 5 days a week for a month. I have them for the very specific purpose of using them for instant oatmeal when I can't conveniently wash the bowl but have a kettle to add gently boiling water. And for that they showed themselves perfectly! As I add boiling water, the table underneath collects moisture, but it's just condensation; I haven't had any leaks in any of the bowls I've used. To my surprise, they're still strong when simply filled with boiling water - two arms on a small ledge are still strong enough to comfortably support the weight of a full bowl. that I return to my desk. If I leave the oatmeal in for a while I can feel it starting to rub off the sides of the bowl and you can see a little scuffing where my spoon scratches the edges but compared to a traditional wax/plastic lined disposable bowl to pour boiling water over them, I'm very impressed. easy to separate - another nice surprise! I have the 12-ounce bowls, so they're the perfect size (for me) for 2/3 cup instant oatmeal and 1 cup boiling water to the inside rim. Toppings can still be added, but the bowl will be very full by this point.

Pros
  • Handy thing
Cons
  • So far so good
