Firstly I'm a scar fanatic and I have a lot of scars in my system so I don't hate the brand I'm just being honest about what happened. They looked and felt good, good construction, but they didn't sound amazing. There was nothing special about them and there were no details. I also tried the Skar TX65C and honestly they sounded better. These speakers didn't produce much bass or treble, but covered the mids and treble well. They have a nice warm tone, but that's about it. With an 80x2 RMS amplifier and a crossover of -24dB at 80Hz, they were up and running in less than two months. 100 watts RMS each, which is what they are designed for, definitely not. Skar didn't send me replacement woofers just allowed me to return the whole thing I did and got a set of American bass godfather 6.5 midrange drivers and some skar vx 200st super tweeters. Both are over 100W RMS so don't worry about damage with 80W per channel. Don't buy component kits, buy woofers and tweeters and wire them up yourself, take some time and learn how if you want to save money and improve performance.
