Review on πŸ”§ Lisle 49100 T-Handle Brake Tool with Single Spring by Eddie Rivas

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Worth the money and better than other single spring tools.

This tool was much easier to use than the Matco tool which has a frame, hook and 4 handles that should sit on the hub without slipping. It was still a little tricky working with a quill without the help of a second person, but it was a lot quicker than setting up another style tool. I ended up flipping the hook of the opposite brake shoe (one direction for the front shoe and the other for the rear shoe). He wanted to slip if I left the hook as it was. A double hook might help, but I don't remember if there would be enough room on the other side to double. If I worked in a shop and drove slower all the time, I would buy two tools and have a set in each direction. This tool is simple and well constructed. If you have a helper, one person can hold the hook with both hands and another man manipulate the pads, and the process is fairly quick and easy.

Pros

Cons
