Coffee snob and dining options.

Traveling during the pandemic caused some problems with food and good coffee. This is especially true in Europe, where lockdowns and curfews change regularly. Last year I was forced to find a solution to solve these problems. I was most interested in the possibility of heating water. While hotel coffee pots and water heating solutions are readily available, they should not be trusted due to their cleanliness. Just gross if you ask me. What worked well for me was the combination of this immersion heater, a metal coffee mug (like Yeti), a heatproof bowl (Tupperware), and a small coffee press (AeroPress). This immersion heater will bring water to a boil in a reasonable amount of time (much faster in 220v countries). It comes with an international adapter and an on/off switch, which is nice. With boiled water I can prepare many dishes, especially coffee.

Pros
  • Rough plumbing
Cons
