Review on πŸͺ‘ Black Monsoon Pacific Villa Faux Leather Counter Stool Set, 2 Pieces by Michelle Lopez

Revainrating 1 out of 5

2 different seat sizes = very angry lady

The review below was made after I assembled the first one. I got sick and it was a few days before I got to the second. It's a joke. The seat doesn't screw up anyway. In desperation, I had to take the first one apart to repackage them all for return. When I put the seats in the drawer I saw that one was about 2 inches smaller than the other! This is so ridiculous and now I'm wondering when the warehouse said it was $30 for "repacking" did they really mean "good luck ma'am". Initial 4 Star Rating: Some assembly required, 9 bolts and 5 screws, not too heavy. See below for steps. The parts are under the seat which has a velcro flap that needs to be removed for assembly, then we attach the velcro flap to hide the bottom. I've ordered other chairs online that haven't bothered with a piece of velcro for the bottom so that's nice. Got my 2 orange chairs at a huge discount from Warehouse Deals because they were "repackaged" but they actually had a small scratch on one leg. Other suggestions might have the same problem. I find the wood and SOFT faux leather to be good quality and I wouldn't complain about the finish - it's really well made and beautiful. The hardest part for me was mounting the lower wooden beams between the legs. They have these big wooden grommets on each end that need to go into the pre-made holes on the legs. I couldn't even hit her with a hammer to the end. Some fit well, a few left small gaps. They don't tell us which direction to paste them in, so I may have pasted them wrong. One of them is marked "front" and the other two say nothing (a "crossbar" is already attached to the part with the backrest and two legs of the backrest). There are also 2 screw holes on each end, so I inserted them with the screw heads/holes down, ie weren't visible when the stool was upright. Maybe they need to look the other way. In any case, it's not worth taking one apart to repackage it and send it back for a refund. I'll see how I can work with that for the number 2 stool, and even then it's not that noticeable that there's a 1/4 inch gap on one side of one end of the two rods. I can really fill in his brush stroke with a wood file and a colored pencil!
