Top baby monitor.

I originally wanted to buy an Infant Optics camera, but then I came across the Amcrest AC-2 video monitor. I didn't want to spend nearly $200 on a baby monitor, but I didn't want to sacrifice quality/security either. So I bought the Infant Optics Monitor ($166) and also this monitor from Amcrest ($88) to see which one I like best. I did not tell my husband the price of one or the other and asked him to compare them. He's a technical guy and very logical, so I knew he would give me an honest opinion regardless of the price. When I asked him which he preferred, he actually preferred the Amcrest AC-2 monitor and was surprised when I told him it was almost half the price of the Infant Optics monitor. He said the image/video quality is better than the Amcrest AC-2, especially in night vision mode. The volume was a little higher on the Infant Optics, but in all other areas he preferred the Amcrest AC-2 monitor. We stood in different rooms to check the two-way audio and we could both hear each other clearly. I also appreciated the long range of the device as our child's nursery is upstairs, but the device worked great even when I was downstairs. The picture quality is clear and excellent. The monitor is lightweight, charges via USB and is very convenient to use. The night vision function provides a crystal clear image and the pan and tilt functions are also excellent. It can rotate almost completely whether you turn right or left, so that's more than enough for what I need. I will be returning Infant Optics and keeping the Amcrest AC-2. You can't beat the price for the quality.
