Review on πŸ”† Sunco Lighting 12-Pack 5/6 Inch LED Recessed Downlight Bulbs by Luca Washington

Revainrating 3 out of 5

They are not easy to center in the fixture

The bulbs themselves are quite bright (maybe even too bright at 4000K) and screwed in easily. My problem was more with the springs. Almost every replacement flashlight has the same design. My glasses have 4 slots that were probably meant to hold another insert with screws that went into those slots. The ends of the spring are stuck. So I had to be very careful to make sure the feathers didn't hit them. The next problem was that I have about 4 onions that refused to stay in the middle of the jars. In order not to ruin my ceiling I tried caulking to keep it in place. I had it taped with masking tape to secure it in place. Still not centered. So now I have to remove the light, remove the sealant and try to get those 4 lights to accept the fixture without a huge dry gap or it will hang halfway. All my banks are the same. I haven't found any kinks or weird shapes, just the bracket wants to move sideways and if I twist it too far to fix it the springs get caught in the slots and the whole thing slides down because the slots are too low . I tried duct tape. Aside from soldering a piece of aluminum in, I'm not sure what I can do. I'm looking for other fasteners because even with sealant they won't stay where they should.

Pros
  • Recessed lighting
Cons
  • Not sure
