Light weight which can be a plus for a shoulder mic compared to many others used in emergency services. Too light for use as a table mic though, as it wobbled when trying to lift it off the table. This lightweight was also accompanied by a certain sonority. The actual microphone button barely stayed there and turned out to be a weak design detail. However, the microswitch behind that mic button was of acceptable quality. The dual connector required a two-part effort to fully install into several proven radios. The speaker was fine; A few people listened and said it wasn't as good as on the radio or when using direct plugged in headphones, but good enough to use. The test subjects could not discern any sound difference between transmissions with and without. The 3.5mm jack had a wet plug cap that got in the way when trying to insert the plug into the jack, making it a 3 hand operation. The headphones didn't work when the plug was fully inserted, but the microphone button didn't work either. When the plug is halfway in and touches the headphones, the headphones work, but the speaker doesn't turn off. I've tried three times to convince myself to use it for another limited purpose, but it offered little for me to use effectively, so I returned it.
