I have just adopted two 8 week old kittens and ordered these collars for them. They were inexpensive and looked stylish. One of the kittens kept scratching at his collar and it frayed. I thought he was just having a hard time getting used to the collar. I took it off to trim the frayed areas and immediately felt hard plastic threads sticking out inside, stuck in his throat and irritating him! I checked the rest of the collars and they all had the same issue! After I cut them, my kitten no longer scratches the collar. The poor child suffered for a week before I discovered he was being stabbed in the neck all the time! HOW MANY OTHER CATS AND KITTENS SUFFER WHEN THEY TRY TO TELL THEIR HUMAN THAT THEY ARE HURT?
