Review on Jiusion 2560X1440P Microscope Cellphone Magnification by Conrad Greene

Pros: This is the second microscope I have owned by this company and in this style (although this is an updated version of the previous one). I got the second one because I gave another family member a going away gift when they went to college. They are interested in insects and use them to study them both at home and in the field as these microscopes work equally well with a computer or smartphone! I'm personally interested in mycology, so I like to take this microscope out into the field when I'm picking mushrooms so I can look very closely at (and photograph) various features of the mushroom to help with identification. The small size also makes it portable and requires no additional external power supply; Just plug it into your phone or computer and you're done. I also really like the connector at the end of the cable as it easily converts for use with my phone or computer. Cons: I wish there was some kind of indicator that would help me know exactly what zoom level I'm using at any given time. , as it helps when I write information from the field. That said, this is a minor issue and for the price, it works exceptionally well for the way I use it. I can't tell if the magnification levels are actually as advertised as I don't have a lab quality microscope to compare with (yet). Overall: I really like this little microscope and the company was very helpful in communicating with me (when I had a little problem with the first one because it didn't have an instruction like this in the box. So they helped me to understand what's doing I was wrong and everything was fine). It's hard to beat what you get for this price. It's not high end lab quality gear but for something portable and lightweight in the field it's awesome! I would recommend this to anyone interested in the looks, considering small details!
