When you're on a budget and need to keep in touch with the world, this radio ticks all the boxes. The radio has 12 bands available for broadcasting on a dull day or evening and also has great AM reception day and night. It also picks up local and semi-local FM stations very well and sometimes distant ones depending on the conditions and where they are available. The SW tapes work well as long as you stay away from computer noise and interference. This is a great budget portable radio with a worldwide reach for shortwave beginners who need to learn how to operate the shortwave bands and what shortwave radio is. This requires 2 AA batteries, a small AC/DC adapter (not available) and a long wire antenna for better indoor reception, e.g. B. a simple 23 foot shortwave wire antenna. It has a light adjustment function to determine if you have a good signal. There are other reviews of this cheap radio on You Tube so check them out. Not bad for a radio that brings the world under $30.
