Buy, buy and buy. Worth more than the price.

This is an amazing radio for the size and price. The first thing that struck me was the solid, well-built radio. I know the attitude is very strong. It doesn't have much play, but if you find a station you like, it stays. I've been listening to sw for 27 years now and have had several different radio stations from cheap 20.00 to 800.00 power stations. AM-FM and shortwave sound loud and clear. Volume is not a problem. AM and shortwave really attract stations. Daytime shortwave obviously limits…

Great shortwave radio for the budget conscious customer

When you're on a budget and need to keep in touch with the world, this radio ticks all the boxes. The radio has 12 bands available for broadcasting on a dull day or evening and also has great AM reception day and night. It also picks up local and semi-local FM stations very well and sometimes distant ones depending on the conditions and where they are available. The SW tapes work well as long as you stay away from computer noise and interference. This is a great budget portable radio with a…

Wow. I wish I had had this in the 80's.

Used a short wave in the 80s. I had Solid State and Radio Shack. I think in the 80's I had 12 bands. Maybe UHF was in that mix. I was a very casual listener but thoroughly enjoyed shortwave. This radio works on 10 bands. My "cheap" RadioShack radio from the '80s was over $100 back then, so I think that's around $300 today. This radio shows the current price for dinner and drinks or many dollar menu items. Very good radio! I'll be honest when I tell you the little speaker sounds great for its…

Worth every penny! TO UPDATE! Bought a second one!

Bought another one. Same great performance and even better shortwave sensitivity! I gave the first one to a friend who needed a great AM/shortwave radio and ordered another one before they stopped making them. I ordered this radio because it is a true old school analog radio with amazing battery life. Two AA batteries should last over 100 hours. I listen to a lot of AM and I'm in an area with a weak daytime signal, so it's easy to test stations on the AM band. I tested the radio as soon as I…
