Perfect fit and very easy to fit. (Back then, the trick was just lifting off half of the paper on the back.) On my last MacBook, while writing, I used the wristbands to rub the aluminum until it had a dark stain, ruining the beautiful finish. I didn't want that to happen to my new kid. I also hate how cold aluminum always feels on my wrists when I come to work for the first time each day and I hope this helps solve that problem too. The color is almost identical to Space Gray. I also know that some people have said the trackpad cover is too big. My package came with two. The one attached to the full cover was too big, and the rail cover in the package fits perfectly by itself.
