Review on PUR RF33752V2 Faucet Replacement Filter: Enhanced Water Filtration at its Finest! by Knate Scarpelli

Don't waste money!

I don't know if these filters are defective or not but I bought a twin pack but no rite installed. I last received them on Friday 18th August, but didn't install them until today, Wednesday 23rd August (yes, both. I'll explain later). After I installed a new filter in my polyurethane faucet filter box, it was still flashing red. I let it run for a full 5 minutes and thought nothing of it. Later my son reminded me to change the filter because he noticed it was flashing red when he got a glass of water. After telling him I had already done that, I then checked again to make sure it installed correctly and now I found out that you can't install them backwards. So I reluctantly opened up the second filter and installed it. To my surprise, it was still flashing red. Even after 5 minutes of rinsing. I figured I'd give it a few minutes to maybe reset it or something and tried again. Another red flash! I went to the Pur website and downloaded the user manual and it says the old filter will automatically reset when you take it out. So now I'm guessing they're just bad filters and it's coincidence that both are bad. However, I don't believe in coincidences. I then checked the filters and found that the filter blocks themselves had in fact been opened up, possibly repaired and then resealed. Something like scratches and glue everywhere. I can't describe how angry I am. I will call Revain after I complete this review. I just wanted others to know not to waste their hard earned money on faulty products!
