Review on TOPTRO Projector Graffiti Correction Compatible by Johnathan Delic

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great inexpensive home cinema projector!

first let me start this review by saying that my husband and I are new to the world of projectors. We wanted a projector that could project a large image onto an entire wall in our basement. I added two photos to show "total darkness" with the curtains drawn and the lights off, compared to a small light with the curtains open and the lights on on the other side of the basement. You'll notice a noticeable difference in sharpness and quality, so use this projector in as dark a room as possible for best results. For comparison, the images show a projector placed about 13 feet from the wall, projecting an image just over 120 inches diagonal. The wall we project on is not white but light pink, but the quality is still excellent! I did a lot of research on different projectors before finally deciding to try this one and so far my husband and I LOVE it and really enjoy it for our needs. I'm not picky about screen size or picture quality but I have to say that so far I've been very pleased and impressed. My husband started hesitating about buying a TV or projector for our basement due to concerns about quality (which is way more important to him than it is to me!) but now that we have a projector he literally doesn't want to leave the basement. He's certainly glad we chose a projector over a TV, and he particularly loves the quality of this model. We've used it to stream movies and shows through Roku, which has worked great. My husband also streamed directly from his iPhone, which wasn't a problem either. We also hooked up an external set of speakers as the projector's sound was fine but not up to the mark. You will most likely need external speakers, but from my research this is true of almost every projector out there (within a reasonable price range and even more expensive models!). There's a slight delay in turning on the projector when pressing the power button on the remote, which isn't an issue for us. But low latency can be a problem for any serious gamer. a range of similar "affordable" projectors (made in China) plus Epson, Optimas etc. This projector was over half the price of the Epson/brands I looked at and had many more features available. I was surprised by how many people commented on the lack of durability and the inability to easily/directly connect external speakers/audio to big brand projectors. Ultimately, that's what made me decide on this projector. I figured that if none of them last long and all have their issues, at least this one is extremely affordable and has a lot of great general features like the following: Digital keystone correction both vertical and horizontal. (This was important to us because we were thinking of side projection. Most other projectors only had vertical keystone!) - Good picture quality in reviews - Direct external audio connection - Lots of other connectors available and a few wires/cables to connect various and includes popular devices - Fast shipping/availability (many other projectors were sold out/out of stock) - Ability to put the projector outside for movie nights with family and friends (we have yet to do that!) There are other great features too These were the top things that were important to us for our home theater. To sum it up, my husband and I love this projector and hope it lasts a long time! For the price and features, I think it can't be beat!

Pros
  • nice touch
