Not the best Not the worst

I have doubts about this purchase. This is a cool looking helmet. In two days of wearing I received several compliments from other drivers. It's not the best, but it's not the worst helmet either. It has some quality and fit issues. My helmet was sold as new but had some imperfections. There are factory instruction decals on the chin guard and main helmet. The stickers left an impression of adhesive on a flat black surface. Internal plastic covers that hide latches or chin guards that reside internally under the helmet liner do not fit snugly and do not have a precise fit. I see that these parts might need some kind of glue or fall apart after long-term use. As stated by the majority; The costume turns out one size smaller. My head measurement on the speed and power chart is a large size. I ordered XL as recommended and it fits very well. In my opinion this is a helmet for good weather, spring and summer. It has good open vents, but the vents don't close, and there's no seal over the visor where it stows, so there's no way to prevent water from getting in in a sudden rain. The visor also only locks in the down position on the left side of the hinge mechanism, leaving the right side loose. This is tiring, especially when the removable chin guard is off; In the wind, the visor tends to wobble or vibrate on the right side, which is annoying. I do some serious road riding occasionally and from what I've used in the helmet it's mostly used for day trips in good weather. It is well suited as a second or third helmet. I don't think it has the quality to withstand daily riding/travelling as a primary everyday helmet. I noticed that Speed and Strength come with a 1 year labor warranty so I'm going to give this helmet a good shake. Overall I'll give it a 5 for the coolness factor but a 3 for the quality of the fit and finish.
