I bought these to have a durable outsole for indoor cycling on my Airdyne. Sits well on the foot, but not suitable for bicycle pedals. Internal support from a strong full length internal shaft works well. I don't like slick plastic with cut outs on the outsole, that's not a good idea. Not even sure when or why it would be useful. Many of us now have metal pedals with small pins instead of clips. The slick red outsole with the cut out main sections doesn't grip the pedal or the ground well. I wouldn't trust them on my road bikes, especially my electric bike. It takes concentration to keep your shoes in the right position on the pedals. They have poor surface compliance, except perhaps on carpeting, which is rarely encountered in cycling. I'm still looking for a pair with a better sole for use with new pedals and for dual use like mountain biking with hiking. . In my opinion this will NOT be a safe hike on rocky or gravel surfaces. Too smooth.
