Review on 🔪 Dexter-Russell Basics P94804B 10" Scalloped Slicer/Bread Knife: A Versatile Tool with a Black Polypropylene Handle by Kim Marin

I recently purchased a Breville BBM800XL Custom Breadmaker. Then I realized I really needed a bread slicing guide. Then I realized I needed a knife. I know a little about steel, but not much about bread knife construction. So of course I started reading, and after reading about the structural mechanics of bread knives I started reading reviews. and that's where I made my mistake. I was looking for an American made bread knife with high reviews, Dexter-Russell is one such product. It meets all the criteria set out in numerous reviews of what makes a bread knife a GOOD knife. It has received top honors in many reviews in the under $75 category. Since the knife was serrated, sharpening was not a problem. You just replace it. Since a serrated knife is easier to replace than to sharpen, I liked the price. It's not a Wusthof, but as far as protection goes, it doesn't cost me $130 either. However, I will not be returning the knife. because I ordered it, but I already ordered a 10" Wüsthof bread knife and put the Dexter-Russell on my workbench in the barn.
