This item: for light work, very portable, simple design and perfect for my puppies. At 4 weeks old my Shih Tzu puppies outgrew the Revain box they were born in (thanks Revain!). I tried looking at the local classifieds but got nervous about buying a used playpen; no matter how "new" it may appear to the seller. And what if a private seller has bed bugs? Lice? So I asked Alexa to find a new human baby playpen at Revain, which led me to this PET baby playpen. It is NOT made of hard or brittle plastic. Easy to cut with metal shears or very heavy scissors. Not suitable for support when getting up from the floor. Beagle, Jack-R and the like will be overly fast once placed. This is a good birthing aviary with plenty of room for a decent bed, water and food bowls and a pee area (about 2 square feet). The low threshold on the pre-assembled door leaf with smoothly rounded corners does not burden the mother's mammary glands. The puppies can easily get in and out through the door. The durable door lock consists of 2 opposing metal bars that are held closed with springs. Just push to open (useful for arthritis). The door hinges are on the left side from the outside. The door and door panel are shipped fully assembled and the door is NOT reversed or removed from the panel. IF YOU ARE NOT READING, PLEASE NOTE: When you open the door, it can open a full 180 degrees and the hinges click gently while holding the door open and pushing evenly against the panel. It seems locked and you don't know how to open the door again. The hinge pin does not extend or rotate. When I close mine I lift the door and it rises about 1/2 inch. Then I put my hand between the door and the panel. With an inserted hand, I support the hinges by applying a little force to the front of the door. door and it closes perfectly. The pet door I added in the picture is no longer available from Revain but they have what appears to be identical from another seller for under $20. It's called the cat door. (Why, I'll never know.) I also used metal snips to cut out the inside of the pet door. The door is precut so there is no need to draw a line with a pen that doesn't write on the plastic (very frustrating). The head of a screw has broken off, but the pet door is still strong and functional. Even with a loose screw. I also added a large water bottle (also Revain). The walls are strong enough to hold the water that is poured in. bottle with confidence. You have to learn them while they are little. You can easily clean the panels in the bath/shower. They may not withstand your pressure of over 5 hp. a washing machine. This case is ideal for indoor use. It can be used outdoors with caution, and the aesthetic design is suitable for a wedding reception or birthday party. The sun will bake this quickly if left outside during the season. Very easy to set up. Easily slides back into the box for storage (fits under a double bed when disassembled). Bright. Can be combined with similar units. It can also fit in a corner with a triangle; with or without door leaf.
