I've had this recorder for a long time; and I like it. The only thing I would say is that if you can, buy the version that charges via USB for just a few bucks more, it's worth it. However, this device is pretty good at battery life. I use it with Dragon. Of course, and I have no problems with the correct translation of the sound. A notice; Battery is consumed during the conversion, so with this device it is best to copy the audio file to a local folder on your computer and do the conversion from there. It is perfectly capable of doing the conversion from the device, but doing so will drain your battery pretty quickly. During recording, it consumes little at all. without - and it doesn't seem to affect Dragon's output quality. Not sure about the sound quality for those of you using it to record podcasts or commentate on videos; At the very least, you should use a headset with a good microphone that you can easily plug into your device. I've only used it for speech to text, so I can confirm that. And for that, this little device is cool.
