It doesn't have a hard bottom to prevent the middle from sagging when you carry it or the sides when you use a hand truck. I use a hand truck to transport my tool box as I still have some distance to travel and when you put the tool box on the hand truck the sides sag causing the ends to drag across the floor and wear out quickly. I had holes on both ends of the tool box. Since the bottom is not rigid, the divider slides up, allowing you to mix small items. Too expensive tool box due to poor construction. I thought the quality of the material was good but due to the poor design it was worn out.
