I don't normally write reviews but this ceiling fan remote worked perfectly and I had to give it a try. We bought a house with three ceiling fan and light combinations from Home Decorators (I think it used to be Hampton Bay) that could be controlled with just one light switch. You can turn off the light, but this will also turn off the fan. After some research I found out what kind of fans we have and realized they need remote controls. I bought this remote, tried 16 different 0/1 combinations that are written on the back of the box and found one that works with our devices. After a month of struggling with not being able to control the ceiling fan, we can finally turn off the light by keeping the fan on high, medium, or low power. WOO HU!
