It's so strange it's almost unbelievable. These connectors are the wrong size. Crazy! They should not be tightened until the housing is fully seated in the SO239 socket. No matter how tight they are tightened with a gas gun, the body will still move vertically within the locking ring! I tested this with multiple SO239 connectors on high quality hardware and also tested SO239 with high quality PL259 connectors to prove that these connectors are clean and just the wrong size! Having some quality control experience, I find it ridiculous that such a design flaw could be made. I threw them in the trash! Guess what? The trash can threw them back at me! Update September 15, 2017 I would like to point out that the seller contacted me quickly in response to this review. They pointed out that Revain might have old stock and offered to replace 2 even though I bought 4? They also refunded me the full purchase price which I felt was very generous as I hadn't sent anything back. I received 2 replacement pieces in good time. While I can report an improvement in not seeing any vertical movement in the body when pulling, unfortunately in my experience I still find it impossible to attach them in such a way that the body is really tight in the SO239 conjugate socket. There is a lot of lateral or rotational play that I would consider too free for RF. This is done after tightening with a gas gun. I believe that all connections in an RF circuit should be really tight and secure. I've been in the ham radio industry since 1986 and this is the first time I've had this problem with the rectangular PL259s after years of use. I will rate the seller 5 for their efforts and am changing my rating to 2 stars just for the seller's efforts. Unfortunately, I still find lateral play or rotation excessive and unacceptable.
