I fractured my T12 and L1 in a fall and my pain is excruciating and I'm going to have a long recovery and pain meds do little to stop the pain. I put this brace on with the little hard little 'pillow' in the back and I felt immediate pain relief! I tore my back muscles as well and it stops the muscle spasms! yippee! It supports the lower back so well and the lower support is important to me. Lots of braces go high up to the armpit and I don't need that because my pain is lower. It's very comfortable to wear. con: order 1 size larger it runs small. You can order your size because the Velcro goes all the way around, if you don't order 1 size up then the straps won't meet in the front.no big deal for me. it does slide up a bit when you bend over but I just pull it back down, the bottom edges do not curl up. . Its kind of bulky to wear underneath a t shirt but is better if you wear the brace over a t shirt and then wear a sweater or sweatshirt on top. it looks fine wearing it over a shirt if you don't mind going out like that, just don't wear it on bare skin as you'll get the strap marks. I'm so glad I bought it!
