Nicely tapered Apple Pencil

I wanted the Apple Pencil to use some of the Doodle features, not so much for drawing or sketching. But I really didn't want to spend that much on it. I only wanted to use it to mark up PDFs or handwritten notes. It charges with a standard USB-C cable. It comes with a USB-A to USB-C cable so you can side charge your pen. It also has a small white connector that covers the charging port so you don't have to see the hole on the side of the stylus. However, because the charging port is on the flat side of the pen, it protrudes beyond the pen when the cap is put on. So when you attach the pencil to the side of the iPad, it won't sit flush on the iPad. When you remove the USB charge port cover, it sits flush. It attaches magnetically to the side of the iPad like a regular pencil, but doesn't charge it like an Apple Pencil. Also, with the cap on, it doesn't fit as snugly against the side of the iPad as it does without it. When writing, the palm rejection worked quite well. There were no problems with printing and handwriting. The pencil is good because it has 3 extra tips. In case the stylus wears out, you have additional options. There is a set of 3 LEDs on the side of the pencil to show you how much charge you have left on the pencil. To turn it on, you have to double tap the tip of the pen to turn it on or off. That's good so you can't accidentally turn it on just by touching the tip of the pen. It has 3 levels of tilt sensitivity. However, it was quite difficult to get the middle incline to work as you have to get it at just the right angle. It also doesn't have pressure sensitivity like the Apple Pencil. So when drawing, you can't press hard enough to get a dark stroke compared to a lighter stroke. So overall it is a good Apple Pencil clone. If you're an artist and use it mostly for drawing or a lot of handwriting, you might be better off getting an Apple Pencil. If you only use it occasionally to take notes, sign documents, or mark up PDFs, then this pencil clone is for you.
