Review on Samsonite Tectonic PFT Laptop Backpack 17-Inch: Stylish Black/Red Design by Nina Noble

Pros: The design of the case is both visually pleasing and very functional with pockets and in general. The zippers are of good quality and work great. As other readers have mentioned, there are padded pockets for your laptop, tablet, and sunglasses/headphones. Hardly a bottle of Nalgene fits in the water bottle pockets. Good fit and finish. Very convenient. Cons: In the first few months, many threads began to tear. There's nothing a lighter can't fix, but I doubt the quality of the product when things as simple as carving come loose. After all, it is primarily what holds the bag together. Deformity: After about 6 months, the fabric over the right shoulder decided it no longer wanted to be tight and wanted to be a hole instead. No firmware between the strap and the fabric, but the actual center of the fabric in the area of the right strap. Not sure what I'm talking about as the fabric seems to be of good quality overall, but there's more to it than meets the eye. As you can see from the picture, the fabric of the shoulder has resolutely given up its primary responsibility. Edit: Bought for about $54, took 6 months, currently in contact with Samsonite warranty service, need to take it to a repair center for evaluation. . They will repair/replace if it is a manufacturer defect. UPDATE: Bring the bag to Irv (Samsonite Authorized Store), Samsonite approved the bag for warranty repair (5-10 year warranty by Samsonite so don't give up after Amazon's 30 day return policy has expired), upgrade from 2 stars to 3 as i really like the bag but i like the poor quality and the hassle of shipping it, waiting for weeks and getting it. I hope this is a quality repair and there are no more problems with the bag. UPDATE 2: I got the bag from the luggage workshop and it looks good. Samsonite paid for warranty service and I was impressed with their customer service. I wish I could say I didn't have to go through all of these difficulties, but it's nice to know that some companies still support their products. I will update if I run into any more issues.
