Buying a USB cable used to be easy, but with higher transfer speeds and higher charging voltage and current, buying the right cable has become more difficult. Cheap charging cables either only support low USB2 speeds of 480Mbps or no data transfer at all. This cable is well made, not only does the cable have a thick outer jacket, but the connector is also reinforced. The base of the metal connector has a thin plastic ring that helps make the connection tight. The body of the connector is also marked with a USB4 label, which helps distinguish the correct cable from others. While I don't have any USB4 devices to test with, I do have a USB3 Gen2 SSD and the cable can reach USB3 Gen2 speeds of 10Gb/s without issue. For charging I don't have a 100w changer but I have various 65w PD chargers and can use this cable to charge an iPad Pro 2021, Samsung S21 and even One Plus 8T at their warp speed. All in all, a good cable that can do both PD charging and high-speed data transfer.
