The part fits my 2012 Equinox perfectly as expected. The old switch became unreliable, so I'm glad everything is working again. You'll need a Torx T30 screwdriver to pry the large piece of plastic off the back of the trunk lid, and then use some muscle to pry the bracket loose. You will need a 10mm deep socket with a 5" to 6" extension to loosen the 4 nuts holding the part that the rear trunk latch attaches to. A lot of work to get the old switch but the replacement was quick and easy. Then it was time to put everything back together, the hardest part for me was sliding the stands back into the holes for the big plastic piece.
