Suitable for Equinox Fine 2012

Works great. Unscrew the torque screw from the lower left lower part of the inner door panel. Remove bezel. It's not easy, but the plastic clips break off. Remove the 4 10mm nuts holding the license plate bezel/fasteners. Disconnect the wiring inside the gate and push out the socket. The panel also has a couple of plastic clips holding it to the gate: Pry the panel off. From here everything is easy. Replace the license plate bulbs while you're there. There are LED lamps.

Replacement Tailgate Switch for 2011 GMC Terrain

This switch fits my 2011 GMC Terrain and works perfectly. The switch itself is easy to install; Just pull the old one out and snap the new one in. However, it is difficult to get to the switch, which is located under the chrome strip on the tailgate. After figuring out how to remove the bezel and disconnect the old switch, I first plugged in the new switch to test it. ever since he opened the back door, I knew it could all be put back together.

MAKE IT YOURSELF MOM!

WHEN THE BUTTON WAS DISABLED ON MY 2010 CHEVY EQUINOX I WAS DISAPPOINTED. After doing some research I know I can do it myself or pay someone to do it, hundreds more. I HAVE SOME EXPERIENCE WITH CARS BUT WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM MY STEPDAD I FIXED THIS IN LITTLE MORE THAN AN HOUR. I am 33 years old, single mother. I CAN'T WAIT FOR A MAN TO DO THIS FOR ME AND I DID NOT WANT TO PAY THE PROS $500-1000 FOR SOMETHING I CAN DO MYSELF. I'm happy to say that my new knob works great in my roller shutters.

It fits my 2012 Equinox

The part fits my 2012 Equinox perfectly as expected. The old switch became unreliable, so I'm glad everything is working again. You'll need a Torx T30 screwdriver to pry the large piece of plastic off the back of the trunk lid, and then use some muscle to pry the bracket loose. You will need a 10mm deep socket with a 5" to 6" extension to loosen the 4 nuts holding the part that the rear trunk latch attaches to. A lot of work to get the old switch but the replacement was quick and easy. Then it…

Fits Equinox 2012 - no other replacement parts required.

Installed on 2012 Equinox - Tailgate switch was not stable. This replacement is fairly easy to install - it replaces the old rubber switch so it looks different, but you don't need an extra bezel or anything with that part number. To install, you must first remove the interior paneling. Note that there is a screw in the handle area of the inner panel, pry up the plastic cover and you will see the screw is hiding underneath. Once the interior trim is removed you will need to remove the plastic…
