BIG nice red kettle with a damn banshee whistle! Off-chart decibel screeching suits me, I can hear that kettle in the next room. I like the handle that doesn't get hot. The lid closes tightly, no steam escapes. It takes some reach when holding the handle to open the spout - but I usually only open it before lifting the kettle, so that's not a problem. The spout is large so the kettle can be easily filled through the spout of the kitchen sink faucet. I really prefer this to removing the lid (hey, one less step). The red/silver/black combination looks great on the stove - a very bright red! This is a big kettle. At first he seemed to dominate the stove, but now that he's been idle for a while, he doesn't look so huge. I recommend!
