I used them for the low beam on my truck and they worked fine. There may be other lights out there that are brighter, but they sufficed for me without being overwhelmed - they look good at night and can easily distinguish each RGB color (I personally like purple). But they were easy to install and had ENOUGH length to connect to the battery or internal switch or whatever you need to install. I also used a wired extension (sold separately) so I could route that final (fourth) light past the rear wheel to the rear bumper. Each light detaches from the other, which is a nice feature when you have tight spots to install and only need to work with one light at a time. The joints press together and make a good seal, but I also used dielectric grease and silicon tape on each joint to ensure they were watertight and weatherproof when I installed them on the underside of my truck. The adhesive is good and will stick to a clean surface, also there is a small hole in the middle so you can use a screw to hold it in place for extra security. The lights themselves are 4 square LEDs built into the body and are therefore waterproof. The kit also includes a small hand held remote control; Turn on/off, change color, change blinking or fading or other light actions with music. I installed them and used them for 2 months and they have held up well with no problems.
