Fixed a leaky faucet that was giving us a headache for the last 2-3 years. I don't know why we didn't try to replace this part right away! First we tried to buy a spare part in one of the big name brand stores and it turned out that they don't have this part. However, they had a very similar part from DANCO. DO NOT BUY DANCO PARTS! These are insanely cheap parts that will fall apart in your hands. When we first replaced our stem with a DANCO, the new part came loose at the bottom. As far as I could tell everything was held together with cheap glue. After we reassembled and installed it the leak stopped, but air got into our line from the part not sealing properly and it was more annoying than installing our original old part. Bought this Revain listed stem the next day, replaced the DANCO part and it worked straight away. This piece is noticeably more durable and makes an instant difference! No more air in the line, no more dripping faucet!
