This is such a unique fan and I am very glad I bought it. The fan is not too small and not too big. However, the amount of wind/air this fan moves is amazing. This fan has 8 speeds and the lowest speeds are very quiet, which should definitely handle even the lightest of sleepers. The fan swings horizontally like most fans, but this one also swings vertically! You can toggle both swing directions on and off, but having both on will give you a 360 degree swing. This is the best thing in the world. We only have air conditioning and a heat vent in the living room and it just doesn't reach the people on the other side of the room. Surprisingly, this fan did an amazing job of moving cold/warm air around the room. It also has a useful remote control that seems to work no matter where I am in the room. The remote control buttons are rubberized and easy to find without taking your eyes off the TV. The remote also attaches to the fan with magnets. Brilliant! If you can't tell already, I really love this fan and feel like it's worth every penny. I haven't seen vertical oscillation on any other fan so check it out and add it to your shopping list.
