Review on Aluminum Base Mini Record Player: Vintage Gramophone Turntable with Bluetooth Speaker, Aux Input, Aux Output, USB Port for Flash Drive – Perfect for Home Decoration (Includes Record Player) by Gregory Sirgio

Okay, I wanted a Bluetooth speaker but I didn't want it to look like it was made by Mattel or supplied by Skynet and I came across this one from Meageal. "Retro" right! It's like an old gramophone that needs to be turned by hand to play the same vintage vinyl. :D I was a bit surprised at the price at first, but given the claims that it's copper and brass I gave it a try. I was expecting it to be brass colored plastic or something, light and thin, but this gramophone is not at all like that. It's a solid piece of metal! Heavy, strong, strong, not thin at all. The color convinced me! Color wise, the base is a beautiful brushed copper that has an "aged" look. The exposed areas are slightly lighter, while the creases and depressions show darker areas. The edge looks almost polished. The photos just don't convey it. The "flower" is more like a copper color that complements the copper and also has a matte finish. In the center is a decorative grille over the tweeter that is polished smooth. The front panel does all the work. There is a USB port and line-in ports, as well as a set of 6 buttons to select different functions. More on that in a minute. As clearly stated in the title, descriptions, etc., there is no real player. What it is is a bluetooth speaker plus. On the plus side, it also accepts line-in (via the included 1/8-inch stereo cable) as well as USB input from a flash drive. The wall mounted power supply provides power to the device and connects to the rubber plug that covers this port when not in use. The first thing I noticed about the sound was the "subwoofer” on the bottom of the device. When installing the stand, do not place it on objects that may damage it (ashtrays, car keys, etc.). a grille like what covers the tweeter in the flower. Finally, there is the tweeter mentioned above. At first I was worried that the "speakers" on the side might just be ports and the mono sound coming out of the full-range speaker on the bottom. Again not true. :D The woofer is the same, and there are really two separate speakers, one on each side. I had to find a song that clearly had good channel separation. and the intro to AC/DC's "Hell's Bells" fits right in. In fact, it's full stereo! I was almost subconsciously trying to find a clever cheap trick, but I couldn't find it. :DBluetooth worked fine. It connected to my phone immediately. The line input also worked perfectly, Plug'n'Go. Haven't tried the USB connector yet as I need to upload a few albums to it and see how it works, so I'll update this section later. Front panel controls: power/mode, pause/play, previous, next, volume down and volume up. Easy. You can also manage everything right from your phone like I did. The sound quality is pretty good considering the size of the device. Four speakers (woofer, tweeter and two mid-range drivers) ensure impressive volume. Of course, the sound won't be of audiophile quality, but the speakers do their job well. The woofer gives the sound a little more charm, especially in the lower range. If I had anything to complain about, it would be that the "flower", although fixed, rotates too freely. I don't know if it was intended to be able to 'point' it in a certain direction, but simply touching it with your finger or tilting the device slightly can rotate it. (The flower has to face left/right to insert or remove, and otherwise it's held in place by two "Frankenstein bolts" at the pointed end so it doesn't just fall out or something.) From an aesthetic point of view, it's almost a work of art . The combination of copper and brass is good. Fit and finish are excellent. The matte texture is designed to prevent fingerprints from ruining the look. This isn't a toy, but it makes a nice permanent accent in any room. Its vintage and retro look will add a touch of class to any room, as long as it's not a chrome and glass nightmare. :D Impressive in general! High quality sound, massive and solid, it's beautiful to look at. That's all. :D Well done!
