The alarm came as promised. The only tricky part was removing the back of the transmitter because the 4 screws required a #1 Phillips screwdriver, which we didn't have. I haven't changed any settings inside (filter, range or LED). 9V battery which is not included. I used a swivel mount on the outside of the house. It was very easy for the recipient to set up a melody. There were about 8 or 10 tunes to choose from. The volume is also turned off. Just keep pressing the button. The alarm picked up big trucks or school buses, so I'm correcting the position. I'll see how it goes in rain or snow. I protected it under an overhang. I will update if there are problems.
