So if you are a Nintendo Switch user you might read reviews here because you can't play through any online game without disconnecting or losing connection or whatever , damn it all . spoke before. It was me. Many Mario Kart nights with friends were lost because I couldn't stay connected long enough to get through a race. I've tried every troubleshooting method, changed DNS, set frequencies, rebooted everything. Nothing worked. So I bought this and just plugged the switch straight into my modem. The problem is solved.
