I love these stools but a part of me was a little disappointed that they are mostly cast metal which seems to break easily. The legs, which look like galvanized steel tubing, are simply cast from a thin metal pot and are nowhere near as strong as real tubing. I weigh 190 pounds and the stools seem to be holding up well so far, but be aware that while they may appear industrially solid, upon closer inspection they aren't as strong as you might think. The middle section with protruding lids is also just a cast part with spot-welded lids. Again, this isn't a deciding factor, as it looks great from afar, but up close you can tell it's a pretty cheap knockoff. You can see this in some close-ups of the bar stool. I will say that overall I am still happy with my purchase, the stools work well and look pretty good; I think they'll hold up well, but I'd honestly pay another $20 or $30 more to have something that stands up to scrutiny and is more durable. They were packaged very well and assembled very quickly (less than 5 minutes) which is nice.
