Review on Hamilton Beach 34104 Induction Versatile by Anthony Starr

Comfortable, powerful enough, easy to clean

There is no shortage of options when buying a portable induction hob. I chose Hamilton Beach 34104 primarily because I can call a US based company if I have a quality issue. We bought this induction cooker for our first holiday during the pandemic as we were staying in a remote lodge and didn't want to be limited by our dining options. We put it in our room to reheat ready meals or make burritos and hot sandwiches for breakfast. On first use, the controls were not entirely intuitive (especially since we left the instructions at home). There are power settings from 1 to 10 and temperature settings starting at 175 degrees Fahrenheit. As with any induction hob, it takes some time to figure out the settings that suit the cooking scenario. It is also important to note that the dishes must be made of iron, which can be checked with a magnet. After familiarizing ourselves with the cooking settings, we were pleased with the convenience of being able to cook on the go. In addition, the hob is easy to clean thanks to the completely flat glass surface.
