Reviews of other brands are mixed. High failure rate. Not long. Etc. Now I have two of this model. The first has been running 24-7-365 for a storefront for over a year. So it was on all the time. He proved reliable. Now one thing to note. When I first tried this on a Toshiba laptop, the HDMI port didn't stay enabled. So it is displayed for 30 seconds, after which the laptop disables the HDMI port. Apparently the Tosh HDMI port didn't properly detect its presence. This was the only negative I experienced with them. And I didn't buy it for Toshiba, so I didn't care. I didn't subtract the beginning
