I first bought one of these Sakura Pigma Micron pens a few years ago while I was working at UCD Medical Center. The pen turned out to be abandoned and I picked it up because it writes very thin lines, with excellent black levels (in the case of the pen I have) and the fact that the ink is considered 'archival'. I have no idea how the original owner used the pen, but I have used it extensively for noting, drawing, highlighting, etc. After I retired it ended up in my home workshop and was used for marking sizes in projects and hand drawing diagrams and various other things I doubt Sakura ever imagined. Well I've bought 3 more of these "Pigma Microns" (love the 05, 0.45mm wide!) as I've finally run out of ink in the original pen I was given. (I'll admit I'm frugal, but my retirement has really paid off, LOL!) Seriously, if you value quality pens, these Sakura Pigma Microns are easily one of the best buys out there. I prefer to use a couple of quality fountain pens for writing, but for general use you can't beat these Micron pens.
