I used it on the strap of a heavy shoulder bag that I used as a large airline holdall. It was quite heavy as it contained all the electronics that I wanted to store under the airplane seat. Without shoulder pads, it would be pretty painful for me to speed through multiple airports with a bag on my shoulder. The only issue I had with the lining was that it was stiff around the edges. If I slid it too close to my neck it was uncomfortable so I had to adjust it a few times to get it further onto my shoulder. In general, it helped me a lot and I do not regret the purchase at all. It can easily be removed and used on another bag, so I'll probably get a lot of use out of it.
