Great price for a basic player with no internet connection. I wish it had Dolby Vision support, but to the best of my knowledge (please correct me if I'm wrong with the proof, I'd really like to know if that's true) Hdr10 is used by default when Dolby Vision is encoded UHD- disk The remote control is quite small and very easy to understand. Also to all the people whining/crying about the lack of streaming services, please do your research or at least read the description. The Ethernet port is for firmware update only. If you're looking for a cheap player while also saving up for an OPPO player, I would definitely recommend it. For the price it can't be beat. I have it on sale as part of a bundle with a player and 3 UHD discs (I chose the X-Men prequels as the selection was limited) for 129.99. I've had it and been using it every day since early August when my amazing wife gave me a killer LG 4k HDR TV. I haven't had a single problem with it, other than sometimes my steam link block would overwrite it and I had to switch back to it, but I think it has more to do with the Yamaha VX-373 receiver than the steam link or 4k player. . I've bought about 15 4k titles and the best so far are Alien 40th annerversery, Pacific rim (I know it's not real 4k but damn it looks great!), Apocalypse now 6 disc set, 2001: A Space Oddessy and Interstellar. . This imo it must be worth it all compared to my samsung 1080p plasma tv. I wish they had a 4k or 8k plasma TV. I would just tell them to take my money. It still has better motion and "600Hz" (10 subfields rendered at 60fps looks just as good as my real Benq 144Hz monitor) and plasma colors are better. Overall, however, the new LG TV and LG 4k player offer a much better and more immersive HDR viewing experience in a dark room. Make sure you set colors/all settings and turn off motion speed on your tv (make sure you have a true 120hz tv) and set the player to output with no enhancements and it will look great.
