I recently bought a Topping D90 MQA from DiLis-HIFI (great customer service/company btw). Honestly, first things first - if you are considering this product. Take it. Right now. If you're a casual listener and not used to audiophile prices, the price might seem high; it's not for the quality it offers. You will not be disappointed. If you are a music lover and are hesitant to buy from a new company and/or feel the price is too cheap for everything they have to offer, don't hesitate. DiLis-HIFI, the authorized company I bought the D90 from, was more than willing to help, shipping quickly and accepting returns if not satisfied. Needless to say I will not be returning this beauty! A few details immediately caught my eye that I feel add an aesthetic touch to the Topping and enhance the UX - the Topping D90 is very well made with a solid aluminum body and feels comfortably heavy. All ports were sealed for protection out of the box and the packaging made me feel like I had bought a very good device. can always pair - so check/scan the bluetooth connections on your phone, click pair and you're done) and it runs on a Rotel 150 WPC amplifier and a pair of B&W 804 Nautilus two-wire speakers with a silver cable and a Marantz SR7007 as a pass-through processor. Apologies for all the audiophile credibility - I'm trying to find a reason why people believe me that my analysis and critical listening was focused and serious. (Also I was able to test the D90 on both a small build and a computer. Here I focused on larger system analysis because I think it has a greater ability to highlight more nuance and potential errors in the output.) HOLY SHIT ! Sounds wonderful! Starting with the very first song I picked - "Everybody Does" by Julien Baker - through modern rock, atmospheric contemporary hip-hop, 80's and 90's country, classic blues/jazz and orchestral arrangements, The Topping D90 MQA doesn't disappoint - even via Bluetooth! The sound is extremely accurate and stereoscopic in its linearity (i.e. it doesn't feel like a large home theater scene unless you use a receiver/processor to overlay Dolby or DTS on top of the sound). The output seems to be that the D90 has been clinically engineered (see Audio Science Review for specs) and very well balanced between mid, low and high frequency processing output. Bass is tight and clear, while vocals are clear enough to hear lip-smacking - simply put, the sound is both polished and real enough to highlight the flaws in the recording, letting the listener know that the artist is human. With a computer, small setup, or large system, this DAC is where it belongs. Without hesitation I highly recommend this product!
