Do not use this tape if you care about your paintwork.

Total nonsense. I just got my Beneteau 405 ready for painting. After the boot strip was primed with Allgrip 545, the tape was removed the next morning but glue stayed where it was stuck. After spending a whole day cleaning the glue with acetone, nail polish thinner and alcohol. The glue is still there. I'm afraid to use a sander in case I bump into the glue and smear it all over the surface. Just finished spraying Awlcraft 2000. Matterhorn is white. I had to go to an auto paint shop and buy 3M tape. After 2 days it went away perfectly and left no traces on the new coat of paint.
