I was looking for a footrest in the office to install. I saw this one and was very happy - an ottoman that can be used as a footstool! Two birds with one stone! I also saw great reviews so I ordered it immediately. The stool itself is great. Very simple structure, good materials. Not super high-end, but excellent considering the price. I would say it's like a cloth material. The size is great for an ottoman - big enough for magazines etc and quite deep so I can see it holds a ton of stuff. Not sure if an adult sitting on it for a long time would stand it. But it is strong enough for a child to sit on. Unfortunately it failed as a footstool, mainly because it is too high for a footstool. If you're using it to sit on a relatively high sofa I think it will work, but for an office chair I almost crouched down when using it. Just for reference, I'm 5ft 7in and this is way too tall. So it's a great ottoman, maybe a decent footstool, but definitely not a great footstool.
