Probably good but not for us
I'm sure this will work if you have the right spindles. Everything is fine from above, we have a round spindle. However, we have a rectangular block below that didn't fit in any way. Also, you need two, which isn't very clearly stated. We ended up buying a gate with ties on one side and drilling it into the wall on the other side. The product itself is easy to use and as long as you have the right spindles you should be fine.
