Review on Austral Alien ALCHEMIST by Chris Palmer

It pains me to give this album three stars, it really is because there are many moments to remember. By the way, Alchemist is a master of catchy hooks, which is not typical for most Metal genres. Alpha Capella Nova Vega has one of the best endings I've ever heard and the rest of the album is filled with great moments. On the other hand, the singing moments border on laughter as songs that may be among the best I've ever heard are placed in the "I can never share this with anyone" territory. I love the whimsicality, style and tone of Alchemist's music, but it's only suitable for the most die-hard Metal fans for group listening. And that's fine, because if you're looking for an album that you can listen to yourself without caring what other people think, then Austral Alien is well worth checking out.
